Love-Hungry Canine Campaigns

Balloon Messages Bring Joy to Stray Dogs in the Streets of Chile

Violeta Caro Pinda and Felipe Carrasco Guzmán wanted to help out the stray dogs in the streets of Santiago, Chile so they decided to give these cuddly canines the words they cannot speak for themselves.

On brightly colored balloons, messages like "love me," "hug me" and "don't leave me" were written with black marker, drawing the attention of pedestrians around the area. It is much harder to avoid the pleas of an adorable dog when they are written so plaintively on bold balloons.

People instantly responded to the experiment, and many were seen petting and feeding the dogs that they would normally ignore. Pulling on people's heartstrings, this campaign was successful in bringing happiness to stray dogs in the streets.
