Text-Based Talkshow Games

The Stephen Colbert Late Show is Promoted with an Adventure Game

In an attempt to court a young audience ahead of the launch of the Stephen Colbert Late Show in the fall, a quirky text-based adventure game was created to excite fans.

The 'Escape from the Man-Sized Cabinet' game has players step into the shoes of Colbert and join the wait for the start of the show by killing time at the office.

As Colbert will be replacing David Letterman on the show, the game helps fans get to know the new host a bit better. As Colbert is known as a huge fan of franchises like Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, the game is packed with role-playing and fantasy references. One of the biggest examples of this is the man-sized cabinet itself, which transports Colbert to a kingdom in the same way as one is required to travel to Narnia.
