The Steampunk USB Wedding Invitations are retro and chic.
Having noticed how the steampunk aesthetic was being used more and more in popular culture over recent years, a couple decided to use this look to create more customized wedding invitations. When they began planning their wedding, the combination of fantasy, science and the beautifully romantic Victorian era was a perfect fit for their theme. They wanted their wedding day to suspend reality and transport all 120 guests to a steampunk world in the middle of London.
Their unique steampunk wedding invitation took around three months to create. The USB sticks were then individually steampunked using an eclectic collection of tiny, used watch parts and cogs along with super glue, while a brass hook and chain was attached to each of the tiny lids and the main body of the USB case.
The couple then printed ordinary brown travel tags with "Instructions for Use" written on one side to ensure their guests knew to plug in the USB. Each tag was then hand-stamped using wax sealer to give an embossed, textual effect.
Guest’s names were handwritten in brown ink on each tag and attached with very fine deep burgundy ribbon to each USB stick, then put into organza bags.
