Since the whole purpose of an iPad dock is to improve home use, the Starck Net for Flos Stand is probably the best option considering its illuminating function.
Famed designer Philippe Starck, paired with Eugene Quitllet, designed the Starck Net for Flos Stand which brings a subtle, yet effective design to the home. Normally a tablet dock only serves to charge the device; however, this one kills two birds with one stone. For one, the stand functions as a lamp which I’m sure many could use. Then there’s the fact that you can sit the tablet on top of the head of the light to charge it. The good thing about this is that you get a pretty good view of the screen, which means it offers another workspace for you without the clutter. This is one of the few minimalist designs that can offer many practical uses.
