In order to better establish its brand within Japanese coffee culture, Starbucks Japan Ltd. is offering branded coffee machines for offices in the country.
The office coffee machines offer many of the same beverages that can be found at Starbucks locations in the country. They are able to make 20 different drinks, ranging from regular coffees made with Arabica beans, to caffe mochas and lattes. They can be operated via a simple touch screen that features images of the beverage options, which once chosen, can be dispensed into the user's cup.
As of now, five different companies have leased the machines (for a fee), and the brand hopes to lease 500 over the course of five years.
