The BMW M Performance Parts Car is Decked Out in Carbon Fiber

German automaker BMW has gone ahead and unveiled a sports coupe that is designed to shave several pounds of the vehicular payload, making for a fast and furious vehicle that is elegant on the eye and brutal in performance.

The BMW M Performance Parts concept sports coupe's low weight is made possible by liberal use of carbon fiber, which is included throughout the vehicle's body. Even the lateral panels and roof are made of carbon fiber, which not only keeps the weight down but also lowers the center of gravity, which in turn improves handling experience.

Elsewhere, this sports coupe's obsession with low weight even extends to its batter, which is some 14 kilograms lighter than that of its predecessor.

By using bold engineering and intelligent design, the BMW M Performance Parts proves that sports coupes can offer a great performance through means that extend beyond engine upgrades.
