The spnKiX Wearable Mobility has essentially been a passion project for some five years and now there is a real chance that it will see the light of day someday soon. Conceived and created by product designer Peter Treadway, his motorized shoe idea caught the attention of many people early last year. Since then, he has refined the design and launched it on Kickstarter for funding.
The spnKiX Wearable Mobility is a pair of lithium battery-powered skates that strap right over the shoes of the wearer. Small and lightweight, due to the use of fiber-reinforced nylon material, the spnKiX Wearable Mobility is controlled using a wireless remote. It can reach up to 10 miles per hour with an electric range of two to three hours.
