Civil War-Inspired Menswear

The clothing in the Soulland AW11 Collection feature designs that were inspired by the uniforms worn during the American Civil War. Working off of pictures from that era, the line tries to incorporate the strong style and honor that the soldiers display.

Some of the detailing that they incorporated into the Soulland AW11 Collection were taken from the collars and pockets of soldier's apparel. The style of the hobo soldiers had the greatest influence on the line. Silas, a Soulland designer, said of the hobo soldiers, "their layering has served as a great inspiration throughout the development of the collection.”
