Average SSDs will usually be one or two terabytes in size, but the Samsung 16TB Solid-State Hard Drive takes things to a whole other level. The largest capacity SSD on the market, the hard drive is designed for enterprise systems to help offer advanced functionality that's future-ready. Although the hard drive could be used by the average consumer, the sheer magnitude of the storage rating makes it a bit unnecessary for the average PC user.
The Samsung 16TB Solid-State Hard Drive is outfitted with premium software that prevents data theft and enables users to restore software in the event of a blackout. Explaining the new product release, Jung-bae Lee, SVP of Memory Product Planning and Application Engineering Team at Samsung said, "To satisfy an increasing market need for ultra-high-capacity SAS SSDs from leading enterprise storage system manufacturers, we are directing our best efforts toward meeting our customers."
