Even if you don't have a roof or own your own home, you (and the environment) will still benefit from these solar panels for renters. Boston-based startup CloudSolar is currently running a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for physical solar panels you can own. This enables anyone to support solar energy, as the panels are installed remotely at a CloudSolar farm.
In an effort to increase how much solar power is generated in the United States, the new venture is trying to get more eco-friendly people involved and expand the market. Solar panels for renters are available for purchase. The resulting power is sold to local transmission lines and 80% of the revenue goes pack to the panel-owning customer. The startup will also manage government rebates and tax credits on the customers' behalf.
