Japanese firm Kao created an innovative skincare supplement for the Sofina iP brand in the form of a drinkable shot and a tablet that's beneficial for boosting blood flow and enhancing moisture levels. Launching in the spring, the ingestible skincare solutions both tap into the power of chlorogenic acid as a key active ingredient, which is a phytochemical that's found in coffee. When extracted with a patented method, caffeine is removed from the chlorogenic acid that's used in the products.

In addition to calling out benefits for the skin, the products are also said to improve blood flow when the temperature is cold or a room's temperature is low. These dual-function claims promise to appeal to women who commonly experience a chill in the extremities.
