Form's Smart Swim Goggles Will Be Comparable with Heart Rate Sensors
Daniel Johnson — September 4, 2019 — Tech
Form's smart swim goggles will soon be able to display heart rate data while being used in a pool. Starting in November, the smart swim goggles will be able to work in conjunction with Polar heart rate sensors to display the wearer's heartbeat. The new capabilities will come to the goggles through a software update, that will be compatible with the Polar sensor.
The Polar sensors will attach to googles with a strap that will sit adjacent to the swimmer's temple. From there, the sensor can transmit data to the googles, and it will also sync to the user's Form Swim App.
Heart rate information can help swimmers manage their workouts. The extra information will also help swimmers pace their stroke rates and keep track of split times.
