The Smallholders Farmers Rural Radio, a project of the Smallholders Foundation, is a radio program based in Imo State, Nigeria that attempts to communicate with poor rural farmers in the area. "This radio designs and presents broadcast programs which enables farmers acquire agricultural and environmental management techniques, receive prompt daily market information and advertise their farm products," the foundation writes.
The show itself varies and includes numerous actors featured on the show including non-profit organizations, private companies, the academy and public governmental sources. Smallholders Farmers Rural Radio also attempts to engage farmers by getting them involved in the content production by listening to feedback on the daily.
