One of the challenges of working remotely is not being able to simply turn to a colleague to ask a question or chat, which is something the 'Sidekick' video screen is designed to help mimic using technology. The screen works by being positioned at a workstation and will allow multiple colleagues on a team to have their livestream displayed on the unit. Coworkers can then communicate freely without having to schedule meetings or send emails, which could in turn help with productivity and even decrease feelings of loneliness associated with working from home.
The 'Sidekick' video screen allows for intuitive access to colleagues, but is also focused on privacy by allowing users to change their status when working independently or on a call.
