Shimano Unveiled an ABS System with Blubrake at Eurobike 2022

Shimano showcased its upcoming anti-lock braking system, the Shimano Blubrake, in at Eurobike 2022. The name of the product comes from the collaboration between Shimano and Blubrake, two established manufacturers of micro-mobility components. This ABS system is designed to actively improve the safety of each e-bike that features this cutting-edge ABS technology.

While commenting on the creation of the Shimano Blubrake system, Fabio Todeschini, the CEO of Blubrake, stated that its products are created "with the aim of contributing to the development of today's mobility: connected, smart and sustainable," showing that the years of research and development that went into this device were dedicated to crafting the safest, most reliable braking system possible.

Neither Shimano or Blubrake confirmed availability, pricing, or release dates for the upcoming ABS system, though more details will be released by the companies in the near future.
