The First OLED TV on the Roku Smart TV Platform is Confirmed from Sharp

Sharp has announced the 'Sharp Aquos,' the first OLED smart TV to run on the 'Roku' platform. Roku TVs are popular for their low price point compared to other larger smart TV brands, combined with their easy-to-navigate menu system and intuitive remote controller. Additionally, the RokuTV app offers a fair amount of streamable content with no paid subscription required.

The Sharp Aquos OLED tv is available in 55-inch and 65-inch sizes. The panel on the TV supports a maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160p, or 4K, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and full HDR10 certification. Additionally, it is a variable refresh rate (VRR) panel, meaning there will be no screen tearing, even in heavier-to-run content, such as video games. Lastly, the TV is equipped with dual 30W speakers for audio clarity.

Customers can purchase the Sharp Aquos OLED at $1,499.99 for the 55-inch model, or $1,999.99 for the 65-inch model.
