Shareable Fashion Collections

The 'ShareWear' Collection is Designed to Be Shared Among Consumers

A group of Swedish fashion designers have created a shareable fashion collection called 'ShareWear.' With the goal of making "ready-to-share the new ready-to-wear," the company aims to change the way we dress ourselves.

ShareWear is a unique initiative that gives users the opportunity to borrow and return different garments -- similar to borrowing books from a library. Pieces from the collection will be showcased on Instagram and the first person to comment wins the opportunity to borrow the piece for a week. After the week is up, the user then reposts the item with the tag #sharewear and the next user to comment repeats the cycle.

The platform not only gives consumers a fun and simple way to try new clothing, but it also helps to cut down on the amount of textiles that are purchased and subsequently thrown away. As a result, ShareWear functions as a sustainable alternative to purchasing new clothing.
