Taiwan-born designer Shao Yen is currently based in London, England and the Shao Yen Fall 2011 collection is beautifully edgy and different enough to cause waves throughout the fashion world.
The collection is appropriately called 'Goddess,' and the clothing certainly reflects that. The pieces have a regal, elegant feel to them, while still remaining unique and just feminine enough to make girls swoon over the intricate detailing.
Wool and fur are prominent fabrics in the Shao Yen Fall 2011 collection, but the crystal jewelery dress is the definite standout of the collection. The gold and crystal-adorned dress with mustard-yellow, knitted sleeves is not exactly a versatile piece, and yet it is irresistibly provocative and stunningly crafted.
