Stepful Raises $55M Series C Funding for Its Healthcare Training

Stepful, a New York-based online education platform for healthcare workers, raised $55 million in Series C funding to expand its training programs and healthcare partnerships. Led by Oak HC/FT, the round will support the company’s efforts to grow its role in preparing workers for healthcare careers through online education.

Stepful offers training programs for roles including medical assistant, pharmacy technician, patient care technician, licensed practical nurse, surgical technologist and dental assistant. The company said the new funding will help expand partnerships with hospitals and health systems, launch additional degree programs in nursing, respiratory therapy and imaging, and accelerate development of its AI capabilities.

For aspiring healthcare workers and employers, the investment could expand access to career training and help address workforce shortages by creating additional pathways into clinical and support roles. The funding reflects a broader trend toward technology-enabled workforce development as healthcare organizations seek scalable solutions for recruiting and training talent.
