Self-defence clothing is becoming more commonplace nowadays as consumers opt-in for it as a means to feel safe in their environment—even when they find themselves walking home at night out on the town. The American start-up Angel Guard Fashion is betting on this trend, designing items that "aim to deter attacks, whilst creating fashion-friendly statements." The self-defence clothing lines include various pieces like dresses, belts, work jackets, and so on. In addition, the products are made out of 100% Vietnamese silk which is painted and made by hand.
About the ethos of the brand, founder Brooke Hart, shares: “There are currently no items, especially in the fashion field, which provide the fast response system and multiple layers of defence that Angel Guard Fashion does. Most defence items are specialized or impractical for the fast response that is needed in an attack.”
