Kapsimalis Architects Designs a Stunning Four-Bedroom Dwelling

A sculptural holiday home adorns the landscape of Finikia—a village located on the Greek island of Santorini. The dwelling boasts four bedrooms and it features curved interiors and minimalist contemporary furniture. The exterior, on the other hand, features intriguing geometric shapes that are "clad in earth-colored cement." Kapsimalis Architects, the local studio behind the development, played around with the idea of privacy, encircling the main living quarters with high walls. It also orchestrated "an angular arrangement of yards and patios."

The sculptural holiday home has been described as a "man-made monolith" and Kapsimalis Architects drew inspiration from "the concept of a large piece of volcanic rock that has been eroded over centuries to carve out spaces" for the striking design.
