Student-Sourced Electric Racers

The Sbarro React'EV is Designed to Compete

It's okay if you thought that the Sbarro React'EV was going to be made of pizza. This concept car was created by students at the Espera Sbarro Montbéliard School of Design in Switzerland. Unlike the student-designed Alfa Romeo shown off at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the React'EV is actually functional and will be competing in a race in the near future.

The Sbarro React'EV is powered by a Peugeot V6 engine good for 210 horsepower. Two electric motors provide an additional 134 horsepower and 553 pounds of torque. The design isn't nearly as sleek as the Alfa Romeo Gloria, but it's certainly menacing and looks quite fast. The React'EV will be competing in an upcoming EV rally in Monaco.
