It may be just a concept right now, but the cell phone defibrillator would feature electrodes in the buttons that would jolt the heart back to a regular beat when pressed to the someone's chest. It would also contain a heart monitor for identifying problems and GPS tracking once the defibrillator is activated, providing the user's location and activating two-way wireless voice communication with emergency personnel. This device has the potential to be a lifesaver. According to Tim Stevens at switched.com "we'd be just a little nervous about pressing those two exposed contacts up against our face during a call."
