NIVIDIA's SaturnV Supercomputer Will Be Used for COVID-19 Research

NVIDIA has indicated that it will delegate its SaturnV supercomputer to be used in COVID-19 relief efforts. The SaturnV supercomputer will be used for research purposes. The allocation of resources comes as NIVIDA joined the COVID-19 High Performance Computing Consortium group, which aims to give researchers the necessary tools.

Overall it is clear that NIVIDA is attempting to provide what it can to empower the treatment efforts for COVID-19. Additionally, the company contributed 27,000 GPUs to the Summit Supercomputer which is also working to improve research efforts related to COVID-19.

NIVIDIA also released a statement about the efforts, “Achieving progress will ultimately require combining three essential ingredients – domain scientists, computer scientists, and high-performance computers. We’re honored to play a role in this effort.”
