Gibson Debuts the Sadler Vaden SG Standard in Natural Burst

Gibson has unveiled the Sadler Vaden SG Standard in Natural Burst — the first-ever signature guitar for the guitarist, producer, and longtime member of Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit. The instrument is handcrafted in Nashville and modelled directly after Sadler Vaden's own road-tested 2005 SG Standard.

Gibson's Sadler Vaden SG Standard boasts a solid mahogany body with double cutaways, a rounded mahogany neck, a rosewood fretboard, signature humbucker pickups with exposed zebra coils and Alnico 2 magnets. The Natural Burst gloss nitrocellulose finish aims to match the matured, slightly darkened look of the original guitar.

The inclusion of a Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge, aluminum stop bar tailpiece, and Vintage Deluxe tuners addresses practical concerns for musicians — from intonation stability to tuning reliability.
