sacai, an unconventional Japanese menswear label, recently released its Spring/Summer 2017 collection, along with a lookbook that promotes some of its most unique inclusions.
The resulting images instantly take their viewers back to the 1970s, where punk music and the bold looks associated with it reigned supreme in many major cities across the United States and the UK. While sacai honors the punk looks that were popularized decades ago, it aims to simultaneously supply them with its own contemporary twist.
Due to this, the Japanese label's collection features a mixture of oversized retro cuts with bold patterns and color palettes, which are guaranteed to garner its wearer the attention of passersby. In the lookbook, these various different styles are layered with one another.
