RydeEV is a new player in the electric motorcycle market in Malaysia, offering a unique service that combines battery swapping technology and leasing options. RydeEV is a subsidiary of Yinson Greentech, which also runs the largest EV charging network in the country. RydeEV aims to provide a convenient and affordable way for customers to enjoy the benefits of electric mobility without the hassle of owning and maintaining an electric bike.
RydeEV currently has two models of electric bikes available for lease: the Ryder and the Hyper. Both bikes are powered by two Oyika Gen-3 batteries, which can be swapped at any of the 15 locations in the Klang Valley. Customers can choose to lease the bikes for either three or four years, with the option to own them at the end of the lease period for a competitive price that accounts for the money spent during the leasing period. The lease package includes unlimited battery swaps, maintenance, insurance, and road tax. RydeEV also offers a B2B leasing program for businesses that want to decarbonise their fleet.
