'GoSGV' is a new e-bike rental service created via a collaboration between the 'San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments' and the 'Active San Gabriel Valley' organization. The GoSGV program was created in order to encourage active lifestyles, reduce emissions in the region, and provide convenient transportation options to San Gabriel Valley (SGV) residents at ultra-affordable prices. According to GoSGV, its rental rates for a full month are comparable to several hours in a larger city, such as Los Angeles or NYC.
GoSGV offers two options of rental bikes, the 'Urban Arrow' and the 'Classic Commuter.' The commuter boasts a top speed of 18mph and a range of roughly 50 miles, and costs only $69 USD per month, with an increased discount of only $49 USD for students. The Urban Arrow is a larger e-bike with spacious storage and a maximum payload of 550lbs, which is more suited to replace a vehicle. Renting this version costs $129 USD per month.
