Rum-Finished Irish Whiskey

Teeling Gives Its Small Batch Whiskey A Santa Teresa Rum Cask Finish

Teeling is reworking its Small Batch whiskey to give drinkers a sweeter, deeper sip, using hand-selected Santa Teresa 1796 solera rum casks instead of the barrels it typically uses. The limited-edition Teeling Small Batch Whiskey Santa Teresa 1796 comes from the Irish whiskey maker and the Venezuelan rum producer, turning a familiar house style into a tighter collaboration bottle.

Its 46% ABV bottling skips chill filtering, helping the whiskey keep a fuller feel that suits the richer finish. Teeling and Santa Teresa also tied the release to Goal through a commemorative bottle set, letting early buyers connect a premium pour with support for communities hit by earthquakes in Venezuela.

The collaboration gives Teeling’s familiar Small Batch expression a different character through its use of Santa Teresa 1796 rum casks. The commemorative bottle also adds a charitable element to the release, giving the partnership a story that extends beyond the whiskey itself and connects the limited edition with support for earthquake-affected communities in Venezuela.
