These topography-inspired rugs are the work of Roosmarijn Pallandt who translates the textures of various natural landscapes within his works. The Amsterdam-based designer's unique carpet creations each represent different areas around the world and are constructed using materials found in those regions.

Rejecting traditional carpet motifs, the designer translates aerial images of Iran, Thailand, Nepal and New Mexico landscapes into a range of textured rugs that are both contextual and aesthetically beautiful.

These stunning creations by designer Roosmarijn Pallandt are inspired by her travels to various regions across the globe. The intricately crafted and hand-made rugs literally reflect their landscapes and replace traditional decorative carpet details with textural elements that resemble 3D reliefs of topographic views.
