Raaka Chocolate's Micro-Batch Bars Explore a Nutty-Sweet Red Tea

— January 4, 2026 — Lifestyle
Rooibos, a naturally caffeine-free and antioxidant-packed herbal tea with a subtly sweet, nutty and earthy flavor, is explored in two limited-edition rooibos chocolate bars from Raaka Chocolate.

Raaka's first First Nibs batch of 2026 explores rooibos as a companion to its signature unroasted chocolate. As the brand states, "Like cacao, rooibos is also rich in polyphenols. But unlike other polyphenol-rich foods, rooibos has very little tannin content, resulting in a tea with a smooth flavor and free of bitterness." While the micro-batch Coconut Rooibos Latte bar matches Dominican cacao and creamy coconut milk, the Apple Cinnamon Rooibos bar offers a different yet no less comforting experience with Tanzanian cacao, apples, plus a touch of maple sugar and cinnamon.

Beyond the monthly First Nibs Two Bar Subscription, the First Nibs Three Bar Subscription pairs these two tea-themed chocolates with an Oat Milk bar, extending the cafe theme.
