ASUS ROG announced the 'ROG Ally' on April 1st, 2023. However, while this was announced on April fools day, the company is still putting out promotional material for the device, so it is not a joke. The ROG Ally is a handheld computer with a large 8-inch display and physical controls mounted to either side of the display. The device most closely resembles a 'Steam Deck' or 'OnexPlayer,' but in an all-white chassis with colorful ROG branding on accent pieces.
The brand did not confirm all of the specifications for the Ally, except that it was developed in collaboration with AMD and that it has the strongest custom-made AMD integrated graphics card out to date. ROG also stated that the device has a dual-fan design powered by ROG custom cooling, resulting in the device staying both cold and quiet while in your hand, which is excellent given that noise levels are a large complaint with other handheld computers.
