Researchers at The Japan Science and Technology Agency have created a baby robot with the intelligence of a 1-2 year old baby. The baby is called Child-Robot with Biometric Body, CB2 for short.
The robot can sense sight, hearing and touch through 200 tactile sensors. The goal of the project is to develop the baby to an intellectual level of a 3 year old.
Implications - Consumers in today's society are likely to be drawn to products with which they are able to share a connection or sense of familiarity. Businesses that choose to infuse their products with personable and human-like quality traits will be perceived as highly approachable and genuine to the consumers in today's industry.
