Guitar Center's Rig Advisor Delivers Real-Time In-Store Recommendations

Guitar Center, the United States' largest musical instrument retailer, launched Rig Advisor, a first-of-its-kind in-store AI shopping assistant in music retail. This mobile-based tool was designed to help customers discover and compare products and prioritize items available on-site. Customers can interact with Rig Advisor by scanning an in-store QR code, then typing in a gear-related question to receive instant recommendations based on what's in stock at the store they're visiting. “Rig Advisor is like having a professional gear consultant in the palm of your hand,” describes Gabe Dalporto, CEO of Guitar Center.

Made to support aspiring musicians and professional players alike, Rig Advisor was specifically built for the in-store experience and helps with everything from building setups for recording and podcasting to suggesting gear and settings based on a favorite song or artist, with smart pedal, amp, and tone suggestions.
