Affluent Members-Only Networks

'Rich Kids' is a Social Network That Costs $1,000 to Use Monthly

'Rich Kids' may be an iPhone app that's free to download, but it is quite costly to use. The application is membership-based and targets a select group of users—those who can afford to pay $1,000 monthly in membership fees. Rich Kids notes that it charges such a steep fee in order to "ensure the quality and exclusivity of [its] members."

The ultra-exclusive app serves as a place for members to share photos of their lives and build a fan base because, as Rich Kids describes: "Being rich is boring when nobody sees you."

Members and non-members alike will be pleased to know that a portion of each member's subscription feed are donated to charities in order to help children in need get an education.
