These homemade Rice Krispie square treats are cleverly decorate with candies and chocolate to look like the spooky monster Frankenstein just in time for Halloween. These treats are super easy to make and are ideal for whipping up with children that can enjoy the decoration process.
To recreate Frankenstein's ghoulish rotting green skin, these squares are made using rice cereal, melted butter, marshmallows and green food coloring. The mixture is poured onto a baking sheet and left to cool before it can be sliced up into rectangles and decorated. The top of the squares are dipped in melted chocolate to replicate Frankenstein's hair and two candy corns are jammed into the sides of the square to be the bolts. Then you can add edible candy eyes and a black icing smile to complete the look.
