The eatery offers customers with a comically rude experience keeping in theme with its mantra, "sassy servers, tastey burgers." The unlikely experience is surprisingly refreshing and funny, keeping foodies coming back.
Unlike a traditional restaurant priding itself on the politeness and friendliness of its staff, Ed Debevic's offers the complete opposite experience to guests. The diner services traditional greasy food items like burgers, fries and milkshakes served by waiters and waitresses that are encouraged to withhold their "please" and "thank-you." Instead, the servers give snarky remarks, dispute your food selections and even refuse to refill drinks. The hyperbolic manners of the servers renders the experience comical and surprisingly refreshing by subverting the customer's dinning expectations.
