Ultrahuman Launches the 'Respiratory Health PowerPlug'

Ultrahuman has launched the 'Respiratory Health PowerPlug' for the 'Ultrahuman Ring AIR,' expanding its sleep and recovery tracking capabilities. The feature integrates respiratory monitoring with existing biometric insights to help users better understand how nighttime breathing patterns relate to sleep quality, recovery, and long-term health.

The Respiratory Health PowerPlug combines high-resolution audio analysis with physiological data to identify indicators such as snoring, coughing, and breathing disruptions during sleep. These events are analyzed alongside key biomarkers, including heart rate variability, resting heart rate, movement, and sleep fragmentation, to provide a more comprehensive view of respiratory stability and its impact on sleep.

Using on-device audio classification through the user’s smartphone, the system detects disturbances, tracks trends over time, and delivers a structured morning report outlining factors that influenced sleep and recovery. Overall, the feature is designed to support greater awareness of commonly underdiagnosed respiratory conditions linked to sleep.
