Created by Budmen Industries, the chair was achieved via 3D printing and seeks to balance function and form with an aesthetic that is highly artistic yet durable enough for everyday use. Capable of supporting up to 250 pounds, the seat was designed using CAD software and printed using an 3D printer that was custom-made by the designer (titled the Budmen Builder).
Explaining the process behind the 'Resolute' chair, the designers said, "We created our own large format 3D printer, which was a 5 year pursuit to design and build a 3D printer that could reliably print functional and full-sized furniture. After dozens of prototypes, thousands of hours tinkering with electronics, and years in the making, the Budmen Builder met our unwavering standards. And what did we choose to print first? Every designer’s dream: their own chair."
