Transcontinental Recreational Trails

The Great Trail Will Stretch 24,000 Kilometers Across Canada

While a lot of people are familiar with recreational trails that loop around or snake through their cities, the Great Trail is a new trail that will well and truly live up to its name by stretching across the second biggest country in the world, Canada.

This particular trail will enable cyclists with exceptionally strong calf muscles and power of will to bike all the way from the Atlantic coast to the Pacific coast without having to worry about distracted pedestrians and angry taxi drivers. The trail will stretch a distance of 24,000 kilometers, and is set to be released in 2017 as part of celebrations to mark Canada's 150th birthday. Canada is of course known for having severe winters, which is why the trail will also be used for skiing and snowmobiling, while water sections will be open to kayaking and canoeing.

The Great Trail is truly an ambitious project that takes the concept of a recreational trail to a completely different level altogether, by allowing people to push themselves and explore their country in a unique and unforgettable manner.
