Sony has announced the creation of an extremely advanced real estate software that uses artificial intelligence to determine Tokyo-area housing prices.
The Sony real estate software has a kind of virtual intelligence similar to that of IBM Watson. It parses all previous data available to identify patterns. On its own, it determines the most accurate prediction models and creates formulas accordingly. It learns from its mistakes. What Watson did for Jeopardy, this real estate software is doing for the Japanese housing market.
Currently, the real estate software created by Sony Corp. is in use in Tokyo, where it is working to determine the value of local houses. The robotic real estate agent doesn't yet interface directly with clients, but is used in consultation with a human Sony Corp. real estate representative.
