Loewe's readymade heels boast highly surrealist designs inspired by common household items. According to Loewe's creative director Jonathan Anderson, the inspiration behind the SS22 womenswear collection was the combination of erotic, psychedelic, and surrealist design codes.
The range includes striking stilettos. The heels in the range are formed from unlikely items, including the head of a rose, a red bottle of nail [polish, a lilac bar of soap, a candle dripping with wax, and one pair that took the form of a cracked eggshell.
Loewe's readymade collection asks its audience to change their perspective due to its surrealist shape. While the foot support portion of the shoes remains recognizable to the consumer, the heel takes them by surprise with unlikely objects.
