Regional Irish R&D Hubs

Qumulo Opens the Cork, Ireland R&D And Customer Success Hub

Qumulo opened a new R&D and customer success hub in Cork, Ireland, designed to combine product development with hands-on support and address rising AI demand for large-scale file systems. The Seattle-based data management firm said the site will house engineering and customer-facing teams, featuring work on high-throughput file and object storage for AI, media and scientific workloads.

The hub will add about 50 jobs over three years and aims to serve customers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Plans highlighted roles in software development, performance engineering, site reliability and client success, and cited local talent from University College Cork and regional research institutes.

For customers, colocating engineers with support teams promises faster fixes, tighter feedback loops and improvements tuned to real workloads such as multimillion-file scans and fast restores. The move reflects a broader trend of vendors building regional centers to optimize data infrastructure for AI-era demands.
