Qnect is an app that was created in Australia and has boomed in popularity in Hong Kong due to its focus on functions that simplify the lives of university students.
Each campus in the top five universities in Hong Kong has 200 university organizations, and the Qnect app has proved to be a valuable resource for these organizations. It allows students to set up memberships and ticket purchasing for the various events and initiatives that these organizations lead on campus.
Qnect is described as a "social ticketing" tool that is able to streamline the process of purchasing tickets across university campuses, and avoids the more cumbersome methods payment (ie manual cash exchanges) that these campus groups have long been accustomed to.
