Proudly's Hair Care Collection Supports the Needs of Black & Brown Babies

Affordable baby care brand PROUDLY, founded by Gabrielle Union and Dwayne Wade, got its start in 2022 with a focus on supporting the needs of Black and brown babies, and in 2023, the brand is venturing into a new category. The second major collection from the brand introduces hair care for babies with ingredients that are especially nourishing for Black and brown curls. “We think our kids deserve better than a 3-and-1 option,” Union told ESSENCE.
While there are many hair care products for kids that serve as shampoos, conditioners and stylers, the one-size-fits-all approach fails to consider the unique needs of textured hair.
The new line includes the essentials: a detangler, a pair of moisturizing conditioners (one for looser curls and a heavy conditioner for tighter coils) and a softening shampoo. These products feature ingredients like shea, rice bran, mango butter and marshmallow root that are as clean and simple as they are safe and nourishing.
