Protein-Boosted Pasta Sauces

SAUZ and Kettle & Fire Add Bone Broth to Marinara for Dinner

SAUZ is expanding its jarred pasta sauce lineup with 'Bone Broth Marinara,' a collaboration with Kettle & Fire that adds extra protein to an everyday dinner staple. A 16-ounce jar delivers 16 grams of protein, giving people who want more protein at dinner a way to add it through sauce rather than powders or isolates.

Kroger gets the line on Nov. 17, and Texas Costco stores are expected to follow on Dec. 1. That rollout puts the jars in both grocery and warehouse channels, making the higher-protein sauce easier to add to regular pantry shopping.

Using bone broth as the protein source turns marinara into a hybrid pantry product, broadening what buyers can expect from the pasta-sauce aisle. It also gives SAUZ and Kettle & Fire a dinner-focused entry into functional CPG without asking cooks to learn a new format.
