Tornadoes are pretty devastating as far as natural phenomena go, and while tornado and storm shelters do a good job protecting inhabitants, not everybody has access to one, which is why protective shields are a great idea. Bearing this in mind, Missouri-based entrepreneur Steve Anderson created the Tuuli Armor Tornado Shield, which is pretty much a giant bag you can climb into.
Once you zip yourself up inside the protective shield, you lie down on the floor in the safest place you can find. Unfortunately, the shield won't save you from being crushed but it will ward off flying debris, which are the most common cause of injuries among tornado victims.
Anderson has taken to Indiegogo to raise funds for production of the Tornado Shield. A pledge of $320 will hook you up with one if the campaign hits its fundraising target.
