H&M is contributing to the worldwide fight against COVID-19 by partnering with the European Union to produce medical supplies that are currently in short supply.
The retail giant will be distributing its resources to European countries that need it most, resulting in the production of limited but necessary materials such as hygiene masks. In addition, H&M will be donating $500,000 USD to the World Health Organization, who is currently focusing its efforts on reducing the spread. According to Karl-Johan Persson, board member of H&M Foundation ""We hope that more organizations and individuals want to join and help, as donations to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund are essential to meet funding needs in this fast-moving situation.”
