Musicians Tegan and Sara have partnered with reputable sandal company Teva to launch the limited-edition 'Universal Pride Flatfrom Sandal.'
The unisex shoe is made from textiles and synthetic lining and features a 2.5-inch platform with adjustable straps. Teva will donate $15 from each Universal Pride Flatfrom Sandal sold (up to $30,000) to the Teagan and Sara Foundation for an LGBTQ youth summer camp scholarship. The musicians stated in a press release “We got our first pair of Teva sandals when we were 16 and this rainbow Flatform collab is like full circle LGBTQ+ Pride validation. Teva’s generous support for our foundation will allow us to help even more LGBTQ+ youth."
Tegan and Sara have long been advocates for the LBGTQ community and their foundation is a worthwhile way to give back to the community.
