Facebook has created a Preventive Health tool that can remind users about upcoming health care needs. With the Preventive Health tool, users can get reminders to get vaccines, checkups, screenings, and more. The tool can access demographic information related to age and gender, in order to provide users with needed reminders.

Users will also have the ability to set reminders for the latter and remove the reminder when the user's healthcare needs have been met. Facebook's new tool will also inform users where they can access healthcare. Facebook has also built privacy features into the tool, as the platform will not share health information with third parties.

Currently, the tool is being released to Facebook users in the United States.
